Research Platform

Research platform is an open platform for thinking, research, and discourse that is accessible to all. Housed in library at the 4th floor of the PinchukArtCentre the Research Platform conjoins research, exhibition making, and education.

Ukrainian contemporary art archive За час свого існування з 2016 року Дослідницька платформа створила потужну архівну базу сучасного мистецтва, яка включає профайли художни_ць, документи та артефакти з приватних архівів, рідкісні видання. Архів покликаний стати інструментом для вивчення мистецьких практик як для дослідни_ць, так і для широкого загалу.

Being part of the Union of Artists, Tetyanych was involved in carrying out official orders for monumental order, but at the same time, his personality, behaviour and artistic practice were an alternative to the official Soviet culture. Tetyanych was among the pioneers of the performance genre in the Ukrainian art: he is mostly famous for his odd-looking costumes and objects of trash and found materials.

At the PinchukArtCentre you can find a free library focused on history and theory of Ukrainian and international art of the 20th and 21st.
The library provides the access to the results of the Research Platform. You will also find there Ukrainian and international publications on contemporary art theory, history and criticism, researchers' monographs, exhibition catalogues and a regularly updated collection of Ukrainian and international art periodicals (Frieze, ARTFORUM, ArtUkraine, ArtNexus, Flash Art, ArtReview, Spike, Monopol, NASH, Gallery, VONO, Terra Incognita, 5.6, Krytyka).
